The Board of Directors of Atuqtuarvik Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Rod Hick to the position of Director, Strategic & Corporate Services.
Atuqtuarvik Corporation is a loan and investment corporation created by Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) and Nunavut Trust to help ensure direct Inuit participation in major economic opportunities. The corporation provides loan and equity investments to Inuit owned businesses for the purpose of business start-ups, acquisitions and expansions. Atuqtuarvik Corporation assists Inuit-owned businesses that demonstrate sound management, provide direct benefits to Inuit and can obtain debt financing from conventional sources to complement Atuqtuarvik Corporation's loan and equity investments.
Rod Hick, Director, Strategic & Corporate Services
As part of the executive team, Rod provides advice and support to the President & CEO and Board of Directors in the areas of:
- Strategic/business planning and performance measurements;
- Communications and information management;
- Financial and administrative management; and
- Human Resources and organizational development.
Prior to joining Atuqtuarvik Corporation, Rod worked for Nunavut Implementation Training Committee as the Human Resources Development Specialist in Rankin Inlet. He was responsible for assisting designated Inuit Organizations and Institutions of Public Government in the development of their internal human resources capacity. |
