The Chair of
Atuqtuarvik Corporation, Mr. John M. Hickes,
has announced the approval of a loan by
Atuqtuarvik Corporation to Leelie Enterprise
Ltd. of Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut.
Leslie Nukiwuak,
President of Leelie Enterprise Ltd. says,
?the loan greatly assisted our company to
expand its current business to new premises.
We can now offer the community a retail
outlet where they can acquire their required
hunting supplies, in addition to our current
services which include the marketing of
our local Inuit art.?
Leelie Enterprise
Ltd. offers services in the importing, exporting,
consulting, outfitting, gift wholesale/retail
business and, with the move to their new
waterfront premises, the addition of hunting & fishing
supplies. The new shop will be known as
Leelie?s Armory, Hunters? & Souvenir Shop,
and is a welcomed addition to the community
of approximately 500 residents.
